The Labour Code, inclusive of the Employment Act and Labour Relations Act has been under review for a while. This review is timely as there are matters which the Labour Code doesn't address and there is also a need to conform to international standards.
We are still awaiting the draft, however, from the consultations it appears that consideration has been given to varying stakeholders throughout the Tri-island State. Hopefully, a balanced document will be created as a result.
